Lasalgaon (Nashik, Maharashtra) : Today’s children take names of actors or a political leaders when asked about their ideal. It is misfortune of our country that students are treating film star or player as their ideal; but they do not even know several names of revolutionaries who sacrificed their life for getting freedom for this country nor do they know great tasks undertaken by the revolutionaries. True history is not taught through the curriculum in schools. It is, therefore, necessary to sow seeds of patriotism in today’s generation and with that aim, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) is holding pictorial exhibitions in schools so as to give detailed information about revolutionaries to students.
On behalf of HJS, such exhibition was held in various schools like ‘Loknete Dattaji Patil Secondary and Higher Secondary School, Saraswati Vidyamandir, Nutan Vidya Prasarak Mandal’s English Medium School, Rayat Education Institute’s New English School, Zilha Parishad’s primary school and Shriram Vidyalaya’, etc. Boards explaining sacrifices and tasks undertaken by revolutionaries were also displayed. More than 3000 students from all the above mentioned schools visited the exhibition. A special issue on ‘bal-sanskar’ published by ‘Danik Sanatan Prabhat’ was distributed to students for free. The principals, teachers and other staff members also visited and took benefit of the exhibitions, besides students.
