Appeal to devout Hindus and fellow Christians, Jews and Buddhists
Now-a-days protests by Muslims are going on in all over the World against USA, due to the issue of ‘YouTube’ video which insults Prophet Muhammad. It has resulted several attacks on US consulates in countries like Libya, Egypt, Yemen etc. In relation with these events. ‘The Onion’ – an American news satire organization, which owns an entertainment newspaper and a website, has defamed Shri Ganesh, Jesus, Moses (Hebrew Prophet) and Buddha in most vulgar way through a picture and related news content. The Onion must remember that while publishing any ‘satire’ news, it should not cross the limits of humour and should defame Gods in such way. Today billions of Hindus worship Shri Ganesh, while many other billions worship Buddha, Jesus and Moses.
What is more serious is that ‘The Onion’ is advertising that A T-Shirt is available in their online store on which this defamatory picture has been published, which is going to hurt religious sentiments of billions of Hindus, Christians, Jews and Buddhists all over the world.
Now it is duty of all devout Hindus and fellow Christians, Jews and Buddhists to protest lawfully against such vulgar defamation. We should force ‘The Onion’ to remove defamatory content, stop the sale of T-Shirts on which defamatory content is printed and they should also render unconditional apology for this serious insult of highly revered Deities and Prophets.
