Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Coproration to provide both options

Pune (Maharashtra) : Anti-Hindu organisations like ANS appeal to immerse Shri Ganesh idols in artificial water tanks or donate idols, under the guise of saving the environment. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted a representation to Mr. Shrikar Pardeshi, the Municipal Commissioner of Pimpri- Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) demanding to stop such anti-Dharma acts, to prevent misleading of people and for devotees to celebrate Ganesha Festival in scientific manner. Demand for flowing additional water in river-bed and removal of scum from the ‘ghat’ area was also made. The commissioner promised to flow water in river-bed; but he also said that artificial water tanks would also be erected; thus providing both the options to people. (The Municipal Commissioner of PCMC is trying to respect the religious sentiments of  Hindus; but at the same time, he is doing anti-Dharma act like erecting artificial water tank for immersion which shows his confused state. Lack of Dharma-shikshan is the reason that Government officers are indulging in such anti-Dharma acts. Now the only important alternative before Hindus is to create awareness amongst the officers about right to follow Dharma conferred by the Indian Constitution under article 25, on Hindus ! – Editor SP)

The Commissioner said, “We have to keep all factions of society in good humour. We will erect water tanks; later, collect the immersed idols and send them to quarries for final disposal. (Will the answers given by Commissioner with such mind set-up, be accepted by the Court? Lack of unity amongst Hindus is only leading to the Commissioner giving such replies. Hindus, therefore, need to unite by acquiring ‘Dharma-shikshan’ ! – Editor SP) Mr. Shrirang (Appa) Barne, Shiv sena municipal councillor and Pune district coordinator, Ashwini Chinchwade, municipal councillor of Shiv Sena and HJS activists viz. Mr. Parag Gokhale, Dilip Shete and Raghunath Dhobale were present on the occasion.
