Inconvenience caused to devotees at the time of immersion of idols, was stopped by ‘Sanatan Prabhat’s reporter !

Pune (Maharashtra) : Few workers of Municipal Corporation fixed bamboos in such manner that the road going to river was blocked and devotees could not immerse Shri Ganesh idols in river water. This was observed by Miss Shalaka Sahastrabuddhe (age-23 yrs), a devout reporter of ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’ and she contacted the concerned municipal officers for removal of the bamboos. 1. Although devotees wished to immerse idols in river, they were forced to immerse them in water tank provided by the municipal corporation.

2. Miss Sahastrabuddhe had gone there to compile news when she realised the problem and contacted Officer, Mr. Khilare from Vishrambaug Sector. She asked him whether the bamboos were erected so that devotees should not immerse idols in the river. Mr. Khialre said, “We have not instructed anyone for erecting bamboos. I am not aware as to who has done this. I will make enquiry about who fixed bamboos.”

3. Miss Sahastrabuddhe made enquiry about bamboos on some other ‘ghats’ with few workers when she was told that the purpose of fixing bamboos was for security.

4. Later, Mr. Vijay Waghmode, Vishrambaug zonal officer contacted Miss Sahastrabuddhe and came to the place of incident. Miss Sahastrabuddhe showed him how bamboos were causing inconvenience to the devotees; then he immediately called his workers and asked them to remove the bamboos.

Miss Sahastrabuddhe said that ‘only Shrikrushna gave her strength and helped her to think of what was required to be said. God only gave good sense to the officers to take action. It is a prayer at the holy feet of Shri Guru to make me a medium for serving Dharma!’
