Resolve by Hindus : Cow slaughter will not be allowed on the occasion of ‘Bakr-Id’

Representation to be submitted on Tuesday to the Superintendent of Police

Sangli (Maharashtra) : In terms of clause 5 of ‘Maharashtra Animal Protection Act, 1976’, there is ban on cow-slaughter all over the State but incidents of cow-slaughtering do occur at many places. On 26^th October, there is ‘Bakr-Id’ and there is more likelihood of such occurrences. Activists of various cow- protecting organizations, therefore, made a resolve to be active and keep vigil so as to prevent cow-slaughtering, keep watch on transportation of animals, submitting representation to Superintendent of Police etc.  The meeting was held on 21st October 2012 at City High School with the initiative of ‘Bharatiya Go-vansh Raksha ani Jaivik Krushi Sangh ’. (Congratulations to all activists trying to protect cows ! Other Hindus should participate in this drive and become active Hindus rather than just being Hindus by birth ! – Editor SP)

Discussions were held in this meeting on different obstacles faced, remedy, what efforts should be made to protect cows, how to coordinate, laws for protection of animals and how to lodge a complaint with the police in such crimes etc. Advocate, Mr. Rajesh Dadape promised to extend help in the mission of protection of cows.  Mr. Ankush Godase, Mr. Neetesh Ojha, Mr. Mahesh Tavare of ‘Bharatiya Go-vansh Raksha ani Jaivik Krushi Sangh ’, Mr. Shriram Kulkarni and Mr. Sudhir Avsare of VHP, Mr. Omkar Shukla of BJP, Mr. Suhas Patil from Audumbar, Mr. Amol Bolaj of Sree Shiva-pratishthan, Mr. Ashish Kori, Madhusudan Sarda, Anant Lokhande, Abhinandan Patil, Ashish Jain, Yogesh Kulkarni, Arvind Kotibhaskar, Sandip Terdale, Deepak Mali etc. were present along with other devout Hindus.

‘Sanatan Prabhat’s mission of exposing injustice meted out to Hindus is commendable – responses by dignitaries participating in the meeting

In today’s program, ‘dainik Sanatan Prabhat’ was commended for its contribution in protection of cows. Only ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ brought forth the injustice done to activists of protection of cows.
