Maharashtra : HJS drive to stop the sale of firecrackers denigrating Deities

HJS submits representations to Police and Administration : Drive to prevent desecration of Deities through the medium of crackers

Pictures of Deities like Shri Lakshmi, Shrikrushna, as also great national heroes, are printed on the covers of crackers. When such crackers are burst, pictures are shredded to pieces causing desecration of Deities and national heroes.  Bursting of crackers result in noise and air pollution; therefore, to prevent this desecration and pollution, representations were submitted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to the Administration and Police.

Panvel (Maharashtra) : HJS submitted a representation to senior Police Inspector Ramesh Ghadavale of Panvel Police Station and Panvel’s Tehsildar Kiran Suravase. The activists present on the occasion were – Mr. Harshal Sawant, Mr. Pravin Khot, Mr. Sachin Salunkhe, Mr. Mayur Uthale, Mr. Dasharath Jagadale and Sanatan Sanstha’s Mrs. Abhaya Upadhye, Mrs. Vandana Kodalkar, Mrs. Mohini Mandhare and Mrs. Vaishali Sambar.

Jalgaon (Maharashtra) : A representation was submitted in the name of District Collector which was, in his absence, accepted by his deputy, Mr. Kadam. Advocate and zonal President of Hindu Mahasabha, Mr. Govind Tiwari, Shiv Sena’s dy. City-chief, Mr. Mohan Tiwari, Mr. Gajanan Tambat of ‘Sangharsha Mitra Mandal’, HJS activists, Mr. Deepak Chaudhary and Mr. Aditya Dharmadhikari and Sanatan Sanstha’s Mr. Dattatreya Waghulade were present on the occasion.

Nalasopara (Maharashtra) : Here too, delegation of HJS handed over a representation to senior Police Inspector, Mr. Mukund Mahajan of Nalasopara (W) Police Station who conveyed his support to the HJS drive and assured to take action against those who keep crackers with pictures of Deities and national heroes on sale. The activists present on the occasion were – Mr. Nirmal Thakur, Mr. Sachin Desai, Mr. Vinayak Bhandare, Mr. Mohak Patil, Mr. Yatin Patil, Mr. Samir Karnik, Mr. Rahul Thakur, Mr. Jitendra Thakur, all devout Hindus, Mr. Vikas Kandalkar and Mr. Sadanand Panchal of HJS, Mr. Ramesh Vaze and Mr. Vivek Patil of RSS and Mr. Ashok Jadhav of Sanatan Sanstha along with many devout Hindus. HJS submitted similar representations to Virar Police Station on 24th October and at Navghar Manikpur-Vasai Police Stations on 29th October.
