More than 7000 ‘jidnyasus’ spontaneously respond to this drive participating in the quiz held in Marathi, Hindi, Kannada and English languages !
Mumbai : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) conducted a quiz program through its ‘Balsanskar’ website in the background of Independence Day. The purpose of this drive was that the students should know the history of our great national heroes and revolutionaries. This quiz was conducted in 4 languages viz. Marathi, Hindi, Kannada and English. There were 25 questions in this quiz related to the national leaders and revolutionaries. The quiz was held to generate patriotism amongst students and to motivate them to keep revolutionaries, who had sacrificed everything for the freedom of this country, as their ideal. This drive received a good response from people. There were questions like ‘What is the name of the brave queen from the princely State of Kittur in Karnataka who competently fought against the British?’, ‘Who said you give me blood and I will give you freedom’, ‘Who assassinated the brutal British officer Rand who had oppressed people in the name of treating them for Plague in Pune?’, etc. Marathi’s quiz was answered by more than 6000 people. Kannada was answered by more than 300 people while the quiz in English was answered by about 400 people. More than 600 people got all the correct answers.
After solving the quiz, there was a provision to see the correct answers on clicking ‘submit’; therefore, the participants could know the right answers.
