We get more benefit when we perform ‘shraadha’ after knowing the science : Shambhu Gaware, HJS

‘Lohana Mahila Mandal’ and ‘Gujarati Mahila Mandal’ organise an online lecture on ‘Pitru-Paksha’

Dhanbad (Jharkhand) : Performing ‘Shraadha’ has been advised as an important ritual in Hindu Dharma for repaying the debt of ancestors. People, however, are not aware of its importance and lack knowledge about the same; therefore, many misconceptions are spread amongst them. The benefit of performing ‘Shraadha’ is, however, more when we do it after knowing the science, advised Mr Shambhu Gaware, the Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for East and North-East India, during an online program held by HJS for the devout curious Hindus from Dhanbad and Ranchi.

‘Lohana Mahila Mandal’ and ‘Gujarati Mahila Mandal’ had organised an online lecture in the background of ‘Pitru-Paksha’. Mr Gaware also gave answers to various questions asked to him on this subject such as ‘On which day should one perform shraadha’; ‘who should perform ‘shraadha’, ‘what should be done if ‘purohit (priest)’ is not available for performing ‘shraadha’ during the period of Corona pandemic’; ‘what should be done if the material required for ‘shraadha’ is not available’; ‘what are the other remedies for removing ‘Pitru-dosha’, etc. Mrs Geeta  Dalal, the President of ‘Lohana Samaj’ took initiative in organising this program.
