Special online discussions on ‘Bollywood’s Hindu-hatred’ : Exposes the Censor Board’s way of functioning

Bollywood people wouldn’t dare to say anything against Hindu Dharma when India is declared as a Hindu Rashtra ! –Shri. Sharad Ponskhe, a renowned actor

This country was divided on the basis of religion and Muslims got ‘Pakistan’ as an Islamic country, but due to the dirty politics played by Congress, India became a secular country instead of Hindus getting a country of their own. It resulted in many far-reaching effects. One of these effects is some people from Bollywood are purposely working against Hindu Dharma; they are talking against Hindu Dharma. When India becomes a Hindu Rashtra, these people would not dare to say anything against Hindu Dharma. These people take to the streets whenever something happens opposing Islam. Hindus should also do the same thing, stated Sharad Ponkshe, a famous Marathi film actor. He was speaking in the online discussions program held by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on the topic of ‘Bollywood’s Hindu-hatred!’

I was asked to censor a Tamil film even though I do not know the Tamil language! – Shri. Satish Kalyankar

While exposing the Censor Board’s way of functioning, a former member of ‘Central Film Censor Board’, Shri. Satish Kalyankar said that ‘films create a lot of awareness amongst people and the responsibility of the Censor Board is very High. There are all types of clauses in our laws stating that no religion should be targeted. I had given in writing when the ‘PK’ film was released that it would create disharmony in society if the objectionable scenes were not removed, but nobody listened, and later, there was a lot of opposition by people. The biggest tragedy was the Censor Board’s officers insisting that I should censor a Tamil film although I did not know Tamil. Then, it was insisted that I should watch the scenes and censor. Thus, the Censor Board has overall been made a laughable matter. Permissions are obtained in any way; therefore, film producers are making any kind of film without following any rules. In fact, there is a need to impart training to the Censor Board members.’

Shri. Ramesh Solanki of ‘Hindu I. T. Cell’ said that all the money put in Bollywood is from the criminal world; therefore, films and serials are made targeting Hindu Dharma. Thousands of crores of black money is turned into ‘white’ money through this medium. Why do the makers of films like ‘Ravan-leela’ and advertisements like ‘Kanyadaan’ not make films on customs like ‘halala’, rapes carried through confession etc from other religions?

Shri. Sunil Ghanavat, the State Coordinator of HJS for Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh said that the name ‘Sakina’ of a character in the film ‘Gadar’ and the name ‘Abdullah’ given to a character played by Johny Lever in another film, were changed when there was opposition. Why does the Censor Board not show such empathy for even Hindus’ religious sentiments? It is our old demand that there has to be a representative of our religion on the Censor Board. Not just films like ‘Ravan-Leela’ but in more than 48 Marathi-Hindi serials, there are attacks on Hindu Dharma, culture, and family system. Producers of such serials should be immediately put behind bars; only then will it create awe in others.
