Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh) : The Vishwa Hindu Parishad activists observed the 20th anniversary of Babri mosque demolition as Shaurya diwas. They tried to take out a shobha yatra from Subhash crossing but were arrested by the police and taken to Reserve Police Lines. They were released later.
The VHP volunteers holding flags, banners, and conch shells raised slogans against the government and distributed sweets.
VHP leader Pawan Srivastava said those who create hurdles in the construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya should be branded as ‘traitors’.
VHP leader Kushmuni Maharaj said saints and Hindus have always sacrificed a lot for construction of Ram temple.
