Denigrated picture of Goddess withdrawn after Hindu’s protest

Mumbai: Mrs. Sandhya Mangale, a seeker of Sanatan Sanstha working with ‘Silicon Interface’ company stopped denigration of Goddess Sree Durga on the company’s website. She sent an e-mail to the Director of the company who immediately answered to her mail and removed the picture of Sree Durga Devi from the website.

In the e-greetings section of the company, under sub-section ‘festivals’, there was a greeting card for ‘Vijaya-Dashami’ wherein a picture of Sree Durga Devi was published. This picture showed only features of her face and her eight arms; without the body. Mrs. Mangale told about it to her boss who advised her to send an e-mail to the Director. She received a prompt reply from Shri. Basu, the Director, when she sent such email and the greetings card was also removed from the website.

The email send by Mrs. Mangale to the Director of Company

Respected Sir,

On our website of esiliconworld.com, in egreeting section there is a greeting of Vijaya Dashami !

URL :http://esiliconworld.com/egreetingEdit.aspx?reqGreetingID=126

In this greeting our Goddess “Durga Maa”is shown only having Head(face) & Hands.
Other parts of the body are not shown.

It is totally misinterpretation of this Goddess. I hope a positive response from you regarding this objectionable greeting.
Please remove this from our website as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Sandhya Mangale
