Nagpur (Maharashtra) :The proposed anti-superstitions Bill is against Dharma and Constitution of India and it will impose restraints on customs and traditions followed by Hindus; therefore, Warkaris and pro-Hindu organizations are opposing this Bill. A representation demanding immediate cancellation of the said Bill was recently submitted to Mr. Shivajirao Moghe, the Minister for Social Justice, Mr. Harshavardhan Patil, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Industries Minister Mr. Narayan Rane, Shiv Sena’s MLAs viz. Mr. Rajan Salvi and Mr. Vinayak Raut, BJP’s MLAs viz. Mr. Govardhan Sharma, Mr. Jagadish Agrawal and Mr. Baliram Shiraskar of IRP Bahujan Mahasangh.

All ministers promised that views of people from both the sides would be considered while passing the Act and MLAs promised the delegation that the Bill would be opposed when put up for discussions. The delegation comprised of members like H.B.P. Devram Maharaj Vanave, Secretary, Rashtriya Warkari Sena, H.B.P. Bapu Maharaj Raokar, its President for Konkan Region and Mr. Shrikant Pisolkar, the coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for Vidarbha.
