Nagpur (Maharashtra) : There are many shortcomings in the anti-superstitions Bill and Warakaris strongly oppose the same. The Bill, if passed, will restrict Hindus from following their customs and traditions; therefore, Shiv Sena should oppose the proposed anti-Superstitions Act, was the demand made through a representation submitted by H.B.P. Bapu Maharaj Raokar, the President of Rashtriya Warakari Sena for Konkan Region to Shiv Sena’s Chief Executive, Mr. Uddhav Thackeray on 14th December by meeting him personally.

Mr. Thackeray said, “Shiv Sena has been strongly opposing this Act and will continue to do so” when he had come for meeting of office bearers of the party from Vidarbha held at Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Hall. Another representation for paying attention for proper maintenance of Pandharpur, a place of pilgrimage neglected by the Government and local administration was also submitted to Mr. Thackeray. Mr. Ramesh Bakshi, the Vidarbha Public Relations Chief of Shiv Sena extended help in arranging a meeting with Mr. Thackeray. Dr. (Smt.) Neelam Gorhe, the spokesperson of Shiv Sena and MLA promised to present the said topic during Assembly session and asked for relevant papers to H.B.P. Raokar.
