Anti-Hindu author arrested and released for denigrating Lord Ganesh

Ahmednagar: Shri. Vishwasrao Deshmukh, the author of anti-Hindu book titled ‘Ganapatichi Sangeet Pretyatra (Musical funeral of Lord Ganapati)’ was arrested after Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held agitations for 24 days. Subsequently, giving the excuse of his old age, he was immediately released.

In the above referred controversial book, the author has used a very deplorable language making mockery of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Parvati. In this context, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat had created awareness among people about the disgraceful book and lodged a complaint against the book and its author. A case was registered under Section 295 (A) for hurting feelings of Hindus and it was assured that all copies of the book would be confiscated and action would be taken against the publishers and printers of the book under the ‘Press and Roaster of Book Act 3/7/19, for not printing their names; but he was not arrested for so many days.
