Kolhapur (Maharashtra) : The oppressive clauses of ‘Anti-Superstitions Act’ will be studied. Everyone has faith in Deities and Saints. Matter regarding shortcomings of the Act will be discussed with all the MLAs to take any decision related to this Act in the Legislative Assembly session. The above promise was given by Mr. Satej Patil, the MInister of State for Home. (The MInister of State for Home, who is a religious person, should be ready to explain the matter to the Chief Minister, if required ! – Editor SP)

At 8.00 a.m. on Sunday, members of all-India Warakari Mahamandal viz. H.B.P. Bhanudas Maharaj Yadav, Pu. Dada Maharaj and members of Shri Sampradaya and other pro-Hindu organizations met him when H.B.P. Yadav Maharaj pointed out to the Minister that all Warkari sampradayas and Hindus were against this Act.

Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra) : There was a meeting of office bearers of Shiv Sena at ‘Sant Tukaram Natyagruh’. Representation against proposed anti-superstitions Act was given by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to Shiv Sena’s MP, Mr. Anil Desai from Upper House of the Parliament, its MLA from Sambhajinagar, Mr. Sanjay Shirsath, other MLA Mr. Kishanchand Tanani, former MLA from Jalna, Mr. Arjun Khotkar, MLA from Pathri (Dist. Parbhani) Smt. Meeratai Renge Patil and MLA from Hingoli, Mr. Gajanan Ghuge .

MLA, Mr. Ghuge said that Shiv Sena’s leader, Mr. Diwakar Raote has been opposing this Act right from the beginning. Till Mr. Raote was there, the Government would not be able to pass this Act.”

Nagpur (Maharashtra) : Mr. Shivaji Vatkar of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) gave a detailed representation to MNS, MLA –Ram Kadam for opposing anti-Dharma, anti-Superstitions Act. Mr. Ram Kadam had earlier promised that he would not allow passing of the Bill in his life time. Mr. Vatkar reminded him of this promise and said to him, “Bill although cancelled, is included in tomorrow’s agenda; therefore, please oppose it if presented.” Mr. Kadam said, “I will keep my word. Opposing this Bill is something I like to do. I am with you and on the side of Dharma. I have attended all your demonstrations. We will not allow the Government to pass such anti-Dharma Act.”
