Sangli : Halal certification is an international conspiracy to interfere in Hindus’ businesses and financial system and create a parallel economy. Mr Manoj Khadye, the Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for Gujarat, west Maharashtra, and the Konkan region explained the subject and about this threat under the ‘Sampark Abhiyan’ of HJS. People from different fields such as businessmen, professors, devout Hindu activists, readers of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’, etc from Sangli district. Every participant felt that it was a serious matter after listening to Mr Khadye and stated that they would try to create awareness towards this matter at their respective levels.
1. The meeting held at Mr Shivajirao Barge at Palus under ‘Sampark Abhiyan’ was attended by 22 people including Mr Sunil Salunkhe, Mr Bheemrao Jadhav, Mr Sharad Patil, Mr Sahebrao Patil, Prof. Vijay Patil, Mr Sanjay Barge, and Mr Rajendra Barge, progressive farmers, and Mr Avinash Dhotre, etc. Mr Bheemrao Jadhav said that he would call for the memorandum on this subject and expose it before people.
2. In the meeting held at the residence of a devout Hindu Mrs Mangala Khot at Ishwarpur, there were 15 persons including businessman Kirit Patel and his colleagues, advocate Abhay Desai, Mr Anandrao Patil, a former officer of ‘Krushi Utpanna Bazar Samiti’, Mr Nilesh Awate of Shiv Sena from Battis Shirale, Mr Shubham Deshmukh of ‘Shri Shivapratishthan Hindustan’, devout Hindu Ajay Jadhav, etc. Mr Kirit Patel said that he had contacts even in Gujarat and he would pass on the information to the Patidar community.
3. In a meeting held at the residence of a businessman Mr Vihang Shah at Vishrambaug, there were 15 persons including advocate Rupchnad Lalwani, businessman Ravindra Mahatme from Shirol, Mahadev Anure, a farmer from Ganeshwadi, and Sushil Bhurke, a LIC agent, etc
Drive undertaken by devout Hindu activists for creating awareness to stop sale of crackers with pictures of Deities!
Walwa (Dist Sangli) : Devout Hindu activists undertook a drive to create awareness amongst people against the sale of crackers with pictures of Deities. Under this drive, they submitted a memorandum at the Ashta police station. Handbills on the subject were distributed amongst the sellers of crackers and residents. A board was also displayed at Hutatma Chowk to create awareness on this issue. The drive received a positive response from Hindus.
Some of the devout Hindus who made special efforts under this drive were, advocate Yogesh Kulkarni, Dr Vinayak Kore, Mr Shrikant Khyadgi, Mr Vaibhav Shinde, Mr Satish Chavan, Mr Vaibhav Lohar, Mr Sachin Nayakwadi, Mr Mohan Sutar, Mr Atul Ahir, Mr Anil Zende, Mr Krushnat Zende, Mr Sachin Bhagare, Mr Deepak Khot, etc. Activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti gave guidance to these devout Hindus for undertaking such a drive.
