Govt. proving unsuccessful in getting approval of House to the proposal to extend the validity of time-limit for the Anti-superstition Bill !

Similarly, this Bill pertains to religious matters; therefore, the right to legislate any Act pertaining to such matter lies with Union government. Therefore, such unlawful and unconstitutional Bill should not be proposed by the government. By raising such objections, Mr. Devendra Phadanavis, a studious MLA of BJP, alone played offensive role against this Bill, late night on Wednesday in the Legislative Assembly (Congratulations to BJP MLA Mr. Devendra Phadanavis for standing upright on the side of Dharma ! – Editor SP) Since, the government could not satisfactorily reply to the objections raised by Mr. Devendra Phadanavis, it failed to seek an extension of the time limit for the Bill.
1. Period of 1 year lapsed since the submission of Anti-superstition Bill. Therefore, a proposal was tabled by Social Justice Minister, Mr. Shivajirao Moghe to seek the extension of the time limit for the Bill. Mr. Phadanvis pointed out the serious mistake committed by the government by raising objection to this proposal.
2. At this time, BJP MLAs Mr. Girish Bapat,Mr. Harish Pimpale,Mr. Dadarao Keche,Mr. Vikas Ghodmare, Shiv Sena MLAs Mr. Vinod Ghosalkar,Mr. Sanjaya Rathod,Leader of MNS Mr. Bala Nandgaokar, Congress MLA Mr. Virendra Jagatap, Independent MLA Mr. Anil Bonde, and other 3 MLAs were present in the House. However, out of these MLAs, only Mr. Devendra Phadanavis raised voice against the wrong proposal.
3. This proposal came up for discussions at 1.47 a.m. on early morning of Thursday.When Mr. Moghe rose to submit the proposal, Mr. Devendra Phadanavis took objection to the proposal saying, ‘there is no quorum in the House, and unless my objections are clarified, the government cannot put up this proposal.’ As a result, Mr. Moghe had to back down without submitting the proposal itself.
4. Earlier, the proposal of this Bill also could not be put up on 17th December. The proposal to extend the time limit for this Bill was also included in the agenda of the business of House for 20th December. However, it was not put up till 8 p.m.
