Central Home Minister insults Saints-religious leaders in ‘Kumbh Mela’ by referring to them as ‘saffron terrorism’ !

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) : Central Home Minister, Mr. Sushilkumar  Shinde has insulted saffron-clad Saints and religious leaders participating in ‘Kumbh Mela’ by branding them as ‘saffron terrorism’ when he was speaking in the national conference of Congress Party. Saffron colour is a symbol of sacrifice and detachment; but by associating it with terrorism, the Home Minister has exhibited his mental bankruptcy. He should, therefore, render apology to the Saints- Mahants for making such irresponsible statement. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has strongly condemned his statement. If he feels that saffron-clad Saints attending ‘Kumbh Mela’ are like terrorists, then Congress President Sonia Gandhi should not have holy bath in ‘Maha-kumbh’. The above views were expressed by Mr. Ramesh Shinde, the national spokesperson of HJS.

He said further, “This is the biggest Convention of Hindus taking place at Prayagraj in the form of ‘Kumbh Mela’. Hindus are getting guidance through ‘satsangs’, lectures and discourses from these Saints – Mahants who have come from various parts of the country. This guidance is inspiring Hindus to become active in the mission of protection of Nation and Dharma. During such most auspicious period, the Home Minister has referred to Hindus as terrorists and maligned them leading to generation of furor amongst Hindus. Saints- Mahants and Hindus are seriously thinking about this matter and by strongly condemning him; they will demand that the Home Minister should render apology to all Hindus.”
