Mumbai : Plastic national flags should not be used ! – State Government

Mumbai :  The District Collector made an appeal to citizens at local level for not using plastic national flags on the occasion of Republic Day and to give due respect to national flag. It has been stated in the circular issued by the State Protocol Department giving instructions to put a curb on use of plastic national flags with the help of all Government machinery and take proper care with effective implementation to avoid such use. (HJS has been giving representations for the last 8 years leading to the Govt. taking such step.
