Tough stand adopted by Saints on the issue of the temple of Shri Saraswati Devi in Bhojshala !

Prayagaraj (UP) : On 7^th February, two hours before the commencement of Dharma Sansad (Religious parliament), Mahamandaleshwar Swami Yatin Giriji Maharaj had arranged a press conference in His Ashram, in Kumbh city. On that occasion, He insisted that the issue of the temple of Shri Saraswati Devi in Bhojshala should be taken up for discussions in Dharma Sansad organised by Vishva Hindu Parishad.

While speaking in the press conference, Swami Yatin Giriji Maharaj said, “If Vishva Hindu Parishad sincerely respects religious sentiments of Hindus, it will present the issue of the temple of Shri Saraswati Devi in Dharma Sansad on its own. This issue was overlooked even in the meeting of Central Guidance Committee of Vishva Hindu Parishad held on a day prior to Dharma Sansad. The BJP Government in M.P. has turned the temple of Shri Saraswati Devi into a military camp.”

National Guide of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Pujya (Dr.) Charudatta Pingle said, “The BJP Government in M.P. is granting permission to Muslims to offer Namaz in the temple of Shri Saraswati Devi in order to appease them. Congress government in the Centre is also making efforts to appease Muslims. This temple is under the jurisdiction of Archaeological Dept. of the Union government. Therefore, even the Congress government can take a decision as to who should be allowed to make use of the temple. However, the Congress government has purposefully maintained a studied silence over the issue. On this issue, Shrikashisumeru Pithadhishwar Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Narendranand Saraswati has warned that Hindus should be given permission to perform worship in the temple of Shri Saraswati Devi, on the day of Vasant Panchami falling on 15^th February; otherwise the situation would take a serious turn. The government should take a serious note of this warning and take a decision in the interest of Hindus. Similarly, Vishva Hindu Parishad should also respect the sentiments of Hindus.”

On this occasion, Shri Mahant Swami Prabodhanandgiri Maharaj, National General Secretary of All India Sarvamangala Sant Samiti Swami Madhavanand Maharaj, and National Convener of Mata Saraswati Mandir, Bhojshala Mukti Yadnya Samiti Mr. Navalkishor Sharma were present.

Highlight :  On this occasion, Swami Madhavanand Maharaj told Mr. Navalkishor Sharma, “In order to ensure that injustice is not done to Hindus by the BJP government on Vasant Panchami, many Saints in Kumbh Mela are ready to proceed towards Bhojshala.”
