Incident of stampede at Prayagaraj railway station

Such Policemen would be stringently punished as per law in Hindu Nation !

Prayagaraj (UP) : About one to one and a half crores of devotees had gathered in Kumbh city since 2 days prior to Mauni Amavasya. Every body was aware that these numbers will double on Mauni Amavasya. The security arrangements in Kumbh Mela were planned accordingly by the administration, but the railway police remained careless. On 10th February, lakhs of devotees gathered near Prayagaraj railway station after taking a bath of Mauni Amavasya, for returning their homes. At that time, instead of managing the crowd in a systematic way, the railway police made Lathi-charge on the devotees, on the foot over-bridge itself. As a result, a scare spread among devotees, and a stampede ensued, in which 36 devotees lost their lives. The eye-witnesses have held the railway police responsible for this incident. (In order that the strict action is taken against the railway police, who are responsible for the death of 36 devotees, Hindus should put in united efforts ! Hindus, send the names of such policemen to ‘Sanatan Prabhat’. – Editor SP)

1. When an announcement was made over speakers that the train has arrived on platform no. 6, hundreds of devotees started rushing from foot over-bridge towards platform no. 6 to catch the train.

2. At the same time, the policemen present at that location made Lathi-charge. As a result, a stampede ensued.

3. Even after a lapse of two and a half hours, neither any medical services to give first-aid nor the ambulances were made available. (Inexcusable crime against humanity by railway administration ! Individuals responsible for this incident must be severely punished ! – Editor SP)

4. Injured include 2 women from Sambhajinagar district and their condition is stated to be serious. Injured have been admitted to railway hospital and Swaruprani Hospital.

Systematic crowd management made by the railway police after the accident !

1. Next day, that is, on 11th February, policemen were present in a fixed number at the designated distances on locations such as railway platforms, foot over-bridges, and railway station compound.

2. The devotees gathered in the compound of railway compound were allowed to enter the platforms only after the crowd on them has thinned. Therefore, even though, the crowd of devotees in the railway station compound was more, there was no rush on railway foot over-bridges.

3. Questions were raised as to why police, who were managing the crowd systematically after yesterday’s unfortunate incident could not plan similar exercise yesterday itself.

Humiliation of devotees by police still continues !

1. Even though, the above accident occurring due to negligence of policemen, they were still speaking arrogantly with the devotees since the morning of 11th February.

2. A police officer, Kumar Singh swore at a devotee in an obscene language.

3. When he was confronted by the representative of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’, he said, “Most of the devotees are old and illiterate. They do not properly comprehend the instructions given to them. Hence all the mayhem. (Anti-people police shifting own responsibility on others ! – Editor SP)

Assistance of Rs. 1 lakh from railway administration and Rs. 5 lakh from the U.P. Government to the relatives of the dead

Relatives of the devotees, who lost their lives in this stampede will be given financial assistance of 1 Lakh each, and the cause of the accident will be investigated. This announcement was made by the Railway Minister Mr. Pavankumar Bansal. The U.P. Government has announced financial assistance of 5 Lakh each to the relatives of the devotees, who lost their lives. [Government performing usual rituals ! Good governance does not mean financial assistance, but taking precautions to avoid the occurrence of such calamities on the citizens is good governance ! It will be witnessed in Hindu Nation (A nation of the sattvik people dedicated to the welfare of the world) ! – Editor SP]

Crocodile tears shed by Azam Khan !

Resignation for the post of In-charge of Kumbh Mela by assuming the responsibility of the stampede

I was pained due to the incident of stampede at Prayagaraj railway station. I was not satisfied with the management of the Kumbh Mela administration. (If not satisfied with management, why he did not resign earlier itself ? – Editor SP) Even though, I am not responsible for the incident, I am assuming its responsibility. Therefore, I am resigning from the post of the Head of Kumbh Mela planning authority. Such a reaction was expressed by U.P. Minister Azam Khan. (He will not be absolved just by resignation, but Mr. Khan should be stringently punished as per law ! Since, this action is not possible from U.P. Government, such individuals will be stringently punished as per law only in Hindu Nation ! – Editor SP)

Rulers, insensitive to the loss of life of devotees make the thoughtful revolution inevitable !

Blame-game between U.P. Government and Railway Administration over the responsibility of accident

After the occurrence of the stampede, U.P. Government has held Railway administration responsible for the incident. The U.P. Government claimed that planning of Kumbh Mela was systematic; many have appreciated the efforts taken. However, the stampede took place in the railway station. On the other hand, the Railway Minister Mr. Pavankumar Bansal stated that the railway administration ran 200 special trains for the convenience of the devotees, and railway had made adequate planning. Thus, the railway administration has shirked its responsibility for the incident. BJP has demanded the resignation of the Railway Minister Mr. Pavankumar Bansal.

Now see how ‘Secular’ Indian Govt. spends money on Haj pilgrims

India provides subsidy to over one lakh pilgrims who go to Makkah and Madina annually and spends over Rs.600 crore ($120 million) every year on the pilgrimage. The Haj Subsidy has been operation since 1954.

The Haj Committee of India (HCI) has received over 300,000 applications every year since 2009. The government provided subsidised air fare to 120,131 pilgrims in 2009, to 126,191 pilgrims in 2010, and 125,051 pilgrims in 2011.

It spent Rs.690 crore in 2009, Rs.600 crore in 2010 and Rs.605 crore in 2011, according to the figures government provided to parliament last month. These subsidy figures do not include the service tax paid for each of the pilgrim’s trip to Makkah and Madinah.

February 11, 2013

Prayag (Uttar Pradesh) : Angry relatives of those who were crushed in a stampede at the Allahabad railway station last evening surrounded a top city official today at a hospital mortuary, complaining that they were being charged exorbitantly for cloth to cover the dead and for ambulances.

Tragedy, the relatives claim, has been compounded by negligence and the insensitivity of officials. The Swaroop Rani hospital, where they were asked to pay Rs. 1200 each for cloth, had also asked them to pay fare for ambulances to take away bodies, they alleged.

Allahabad Commissioner Devesh Chaturvedi tried to pacify the people and assured them that the administration would send more ambulances.

Thirty six people have died and many were injured in the stampede on the stairs of a footbridge between platform 5 and 6 of the railway station, where lakhs of people had gathered to return home after visiting the Maha Kumbh mela.

Witnesses say there was gross mismanagement at the station. Victims like eight-year-old Muskaan, died waiting for medical help to reach them. There was only one doctor at the station to attend to the injured after the stampede.
