Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) : In Kali Yuga, Namasmaran (chanting) is the most effective type of spiritual pratice according to time. If we regularly chant the name of God, then the process of purification of our mind and intellect begins. By chanting the name of the Deity of the clan in which we were born (our Family Deity) gives rise to our own spiritual and material upliftment. The first step of the spiritual practice as stated in Dharmashastras is to worship the Family Deity. By chanting the name of the Deity, the Muladhara Chakra of the one who is chanting is awakened and the Kundalini energu starts moving upwards. For this, it is necessary to worship the Family Deity regularly, said Sadguru Dr Charudatta Pingale, National Guide of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. He was giving a discourse on ‘Spirituality for a Happy Life’ at the Tekdiwale Hanuman Temple in Taraganj here. This program was organized by a devout Hindu Shri. Santosh Chalisgaonkar.
