Prayagaraj (UP) : Kumbh Mela was under a shadow of terror after the serial bomb blasts in Bhagyanagar. More than 80 lakh devotees took the Holy bath in Kumbh Mela under tight security, on 25th February, the day of Magh Pournima. This Holy bath marked the culmination of Kumbh Mela, and the seekers who performed sadhana (Spiritual practice) by residing in Mela and other devotees have started departing. Devotees started rushing on the banks of river Ganga and location of confluence for taking a Holy bath since morning. Due to the total ban on vehicles on the roads enforced by the administration, the devotees had open roads at their disposal, which resulted in heavy rush on roads. In order to prevent any incident of stampede, separate roads were earmarked for going and coming. Similarly, the devotees departing from Kumbh city proceeded in large numbers towards bus stand and railway station. Therefore, the administration regularly estimated the crowd at these places and instructions were announced accordingly for the devotees in Kumbh city.
