Chennai : Overwhelming response to the stall of HJS and Sanatan Sanstha at HSSF 2013

Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti took part in the fifth Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair (HSSF), 2013 held at A.M. Jain College, Meenambakkam, Chennai from Feb 19th to 24th, 2013. Over 200 spiritual organisations had put up stalls. Both the stalls received overwhelming response from the visitors coming to the HSSF.

  1. Even though HJS was allotted a smaller stall in a corner it became a vantage position.
  2. The flex regarding ‘the number of countries in the world – religion wise’ was center of the attraction. It is mentioned in the flex that today there is not a single nation which can be considered as ‘Hindu Rashtra’. It captured the attention of everyone. Many were not aware of this fact. More than 90 % of people would stop and read this flex and ask questions to HJS activists with curiosity.
  3. Two TV channels namely Zee tamil and AMN TV took interview of HJS representative in the stall regarding the main motive and activities of HJS. Amirtha TV took video coverage of the stall and flex display fully.

  1. The stall started with display of Sanatan’s sattvik utpadan. This was followed by granth regarding Ayurveda, effective parenting, Achardharma, worship of deities, Karmayoga, Dharma, sadhana ending with bhav jagruti. This sequence and the reason underlying this sequence was being announced repeatedly on the mike and it evoked a good response.
  2. Two TV channels Thaai TV and Shivabhogam covered Sanatan stall and Sri Prabhakaran spoke in Tamil regarding objectives and activities of Sanatan Sanstha.
  3. People were reading the ‘Dharmashikshan’ (Dharma education) flex displayed with lot of interest and also took photographs.
