Pramod Mutalik barred from entering Udupi district till April 15

Udupi : The Udupi Deputy Commissioner Kurmarao M on Wednesday issued a circular restricting Shri Ram Sena chief Pramod Muthalik’s entry into the program organized by Hindu Jagaran Vedike at Gangolli.

In order to safeguard law and order in the district and to maintain public harmony, the DC imposed Sections 133, 142 and 144 for the Indian Penal Code which restricted the entry of Shri Ram Sena Chief into the district.

Reports said that Pramod Muthalik was invited by the Hindu Jagarana Vedike to Veereshwar Temple, Gangolli on the occasion of Satyanarayan Puja.

According to the reports, the local police department had urged the DC to restrict Mutalik’s entry in the district who is known for delivering provocative and hateful speeches.

According to the DC’s order, Mutalik’s entry into the district will be barred till April 15.
