Akola: Groundnut oil manufactured by ‘Sree Maruti Udyog Pratishthan’ is quite popular in local market. The paper-cover on the can of the oil had a picture of Sree Radha-Krushna. In November 2006, a member of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) enlightened the owner of the company on the issue related to denigration of deities. Thereafter, the owner took immediate action and the cover was changed.
The owner was explained about the denigration only over phone and he agreed to change the cover. In fact, he informed that due to such explanation, his faith in God strengthened. He has also mentioned in his letter that even other people should be educated on such matters and they should get ‘Dharma-shikshan’.
