Sharda University question paper asks students similarities between Fascism; faculty suspended

Lucknow : A major action has been taken after protests against the comparison of Hindutva with fascist and Nazism in the question paper of Sharda University located in Noida, adjacent to the national capital Delhi. The university administration has suspended the question paper making faculty. Sharda University has taken this action on 6th May 2022 (Friday). Along with this, the management of the university has also apologized to the people for that question paper. However, the name of the question paper maker has not been made public by the university yet.

In its tweet, the university has further said that, ‘The university administration does not agree with every line which is against any national identity or culture. We are committed to show the true and golden form of India. It is noteworthy that the question was asked on the fifth number of this controversial question paper that what are the root reasons for the conversion? At the same time, the question was asked at number six, ‘Do you see any similarity between Nazism, Fascist and Hindutva?’ In the question paper both the questions were asked to be explained in detail.

This entire controversy had arisen when BJP leader Vikas Pritam Sinha, sharing its photo copy on Twitter, has termed a question asked in it as objectionable. This question paper was of the year 2021-2022 session of BA Political Science. According to Vikas Pritam, the paper is allegedly prepared by a Muslim teacher. The BJP leader had tagged the state CM Yogi Adityanath, Dharmendra Pradhan and Shalabmani Tripathi in his tweet. After this paper went viral, many netizens had demanded action against Sharda University on social media.
