Mumbai : The Chairman of Legislative Council, Shivajirao Deshmukh promised H.B.P. Bapu Maharaj Raokar, the President of Rashtreeya Warkari Sena for Konkan Region that instruction would be given to the Government to free Pandharpur, Dehu and Alandi from liquor and meat. (Why the Government has to give such directions? Why the Government does not do anything on its own? Hindus should oust such incompetent anti-Hindu Govt. and establish ‘Hindu Rashtra’ ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
H.B.P. Bapu Maharaj Raokar met the Chairman in his cabin in the background of budgetary session of State Assembly. H.B.P. Raokar Maharaj said that Excise Minister Ganesh Naik was given a representation demanding ban on sale of liquor at places of pilgrimage; but he paid no heed. Agitations were staged at Pandharpur, Alandi, Dehu, Kolhapur and all over Maharashtra protesting against ‘Black Panther’ activists for burning ‘Gaatha’ of Saint Tukaram Maharaj; but the Government has done nothing. The State Government is trying to pass anti-superstitions Act that will hurt religious sentiments of Warkaris. Chairman Deshmukh promised him to raise the issue in the ongoing session and instruct the Government in the matter.
