Panvel (Dist.Raigad, Maharashtra) : Representation was submitted to Congress MLA Shri. Prashant Thakur by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), Warkari Sampradaya and pro-Hindu activists protesting against the anti-superstitions Bill. MLA, Shri. Thakur promised to oppose the said Bill. H.B.P. Bapu Maharaj Raokar, the President of Rashtreeya Warkari Sena for Konkan region, Shri. Tatakare from ‘Patanjalli Yoga Samiti’ of Yoga-rhushi Baba Ramdev, Sanatan Sanstha’s seeker, Smt. Bhagat, HJS activists, Shri. Milind Poshe, devout Hindus, Shri. Chougule and Kumari Deepali Kadam etc. were present on the occasion.

MLA Shri. Thakur said that ‘Few people abide by Hindu Dharma but speak against it on stage, in public. They go to different temples 4 times in a day and from stage claim that there is no God and Dharma. They also observe all ‘Vrat-vaikalyas’, perfrom ‘Vaastu-shanti’, ‘puja-paath’ etc. at home and say it is all useless when they are out. Such hypocrisy is wrong.’ Then H.B.P. Bapu Maharaj Raokar said, “The motive of ANS is not pure. Help of Saints, Mahants, Dharmacharyas have not been taken while preparing the draft of the said Bill. The existing laws are adequate to tackle problems related to superstitions.” MLA Shri. Thakur then said, ‘I will oppose this Act. I’ll make time for meetings with Warkari Sampradaya and other organizations.”
