Pune (Maharashtra) : Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) undertook a drive for safeguarding Khadakvasala Dam from getting polluted with chemical colours used during playing ‘Holi’. The drive was successful and the movement has now completed 12 years.

On Wednesday, 27th March, Sanatan’s Saint Pujya Nandkumar Jadhav did inauguration of the drive by breaking a coconut. Assistant Police Inspector (PI), Tukaram Patil did ‘aarti’ of ‘Sadguru’. Shri. Nandkumar Mate, a member of Khadakvasala Gram Panchayat; Shri. Dattatreya Jorkar, a member of Gerha Sinhgad Gram Panchayat; Shri. Sachin Pasalkar of Yuva Sena; Shri. Sushant Khirid, Dy. Sarpanch of Gorhe village; its former Dy. Sarpanch Shri. Kundalik Khirid and Dy. PI Bajarang Kapase of Pune rural police were present on the occasion.

50 Volunteers of Cummins India Ltd., residents of Khadakvasala, Sanatan seekers and more than 100 activists of HJS took part in the drive. The activists were displaying boards with enlightening matter elated to the drive and saffron flags. They were creating awareness amongst citizens who were coming there to play with colours.
Drive to be undertaken again on 31st March !

This drive of HJS is commendable. Whatever activity, undertaken by HJS, always becomes successful. Henceforth, we should try to prevent such malpractices from taking place so that the manpower of HJS can be utilized for other drives related to protection of Nation and Dharma.
