In the background of gang-rape case of New Delhi, other incidents of oppression of women brought to light after that incident etc. the channel organized a discussion program on the reasons behind oppression of women and remedies to stop such oppression through creating awareness.

There is no provision to impart education on matters related to Dharma under the secular governance.’

Ranaragini’s Sav. Vinuta Shetty emphasized the need for training of self-defence for all women. Women’s organizations of various political parties also took part in this program. The representatives of these organizations pointed out to the need for imparting training on Hindu culture to people.
