Mumbai : The proposed anti-superstitions Act will impose restrictions on women from following various customs and traditions as prescribed in Dharma. This Act should not be passed and should be immediately cancelled. A representation to the above effect was submitted by Kum. Suguna Gujjeti on behalf of ‘Andhra Mahasangha’ to the Minister for Social Justice, Shivajirao Moghe. Along with the representation, paper cuttings taken from Tamil newspapers about the protest march taken out by 10,000 Warakaris to Vidhan Bhavan on 19th March for their demand were also enclosed by Kum. Gujjeti.
