Mumbai : The Government promises that anti-superstitions Act would not be passed without taking Warkaris into confidence; but on the other hand, with the help of workers of Andha-shraddha Nirmulan Samiti, it hatches a plot to prepare draft of the Bill.

Warkaris strongly oppose this Bill. This Act will impose restrictions on all Hindus and Warkari Sampradaya in following their customs and traditions. The Government should take a note of this and should not pass this Act without taking Warkaris into confidence. The above demand was recently made by H.B.P. Bapu Maharaj Raokar, the President of Rashtreeya Warkari Sena for Konkan Region with Minister for Social Justice, Shivajirao Moghe. Rashtreeya Warkari Sena submitted representation to the Minister during ‘Janata Darbar’ held by Congress at its office. A copy of resolutions passed during ‘Mahasabha’ of Warkaris held at Shri-Kshetra Dehu and Paithan was also submitted along with the representation.
