Effect of Hindu Unity : Decision to make separate idol of Shri Vitthal stayed

Mandir Samiti bows before united strength of Warakaris !
Hindus should offer gratitude at the feet of Lord Vitthal for this success !

Pandharpur (Maharashtra) : ‘Mahapuja’ and ‘Abhishek’ of the idol of Sri Vitthal has been stopped since 2010 in the name of erosion of the idol. It was recently decided by ‘Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Mandir Samiti’ to make another idol for devotees to worship. H. B. P. Madhav Maharaj Shivanikar, ‘Bheeshmacharya’ of Rashtreeya Warakari Sena, H. B. P. Nivrutti Maharaj Vakte and other Warakaris strongly opposed this decision. The ‘Mandir Samiti’ had to therefore, withdraw and stayed its decision. (Warakaris should warn the rulers that the idol of Sri Vitthal is not a thing for making money by the Government appointed Mandir Samiti; but it is the medium of faith for Warakaris. Devotees expect that the Warakaris should try to get permission for perfoming ‘puja’ of the main idol. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)  

Archaeology Department has advised about erosion of the idol; therefore, Hindus are not able to perform ‘Abhishek’ or ‘’puja’ of the idol and ‘Mandir Samiti’s President Anna Dange directly took  a decision to install another idol for performing ‘puja’. Mandir Samiti had got made an idol of ‘Panch-dhatu (five metals)’; but its appearance did not match with the original idol; therefore, there was opposition to the said idol. Thereafter, on 26th April 2013, Anna Dange declared that another idol made of rock would be installed; but Dange was opposed even then.

Without taking Warakaris into confidence, the Mandir Samiti had taken a decision to make another idol for worshipping and had tried to cheat Warakaris. H. B. P. Madhav Maharaj Shivanikar, the President of ‘Dindi Phadakari Sangh’ and all Warakaris expressed their candid standpoint opposing this decision; therefore, Shri. Anna Dange had to re-consider his decision. As per the teachings of Saint Tukaram of ‘Naathaalaache maathi haanu kaathi’, now attempts have to be made for doing justice to Warakaris.  The Government has paid no attention to deteriorating conditions of Pandharpur even after 65 years of independence and we have to oppose till Warakari is appointed as President of ‘Vitthal-Rukmini Mandir Samiti’. Rather than having a President with loyalty towards some political party, if a Warakari is appointed on the post, who is loyal to Sri Vitthal, such problems would not be faced in future. Warakaris should therefore, be ready to oppose such injustice without any inhibitions; as mouth automatically opens when nose is pressed. Jai Hari !
