Contemptuous comment by a Christian Chief Justice of Supreme Court on Shri Krushna and Radha

New Delhi : The then Chief Justice of Supreme Court, K. G. Balakrushnan had commented, ‘Any woman and a man can live together without getting married just as Shrikrushna and Radha lived.’ This reaction was expressed by him while hearing a petition about a ‘Live-in’ relationship. (If such a comment was made by him regarding the articles of faith in respect of Muslims or Christians, he would have been forced to apologise by this time ! The Court, which punishes individuals for committing contempt of the court should have punished the Justice for committing the contempt of Hindu Deities ! – Editor, Daily ‘Sanatan Prabhat’)

To protest against above comment, Hindu organisations held sit-in agitation before the Supreme Court in New Delhi on 10th May. On this occasion, Mahant Savindra Giriji Maharaj, Swami Omji Maharaj (Kokila Van Shanidev), Maharaj Rup Chandaji (Vrundavan), Shri Manoj Krushna Goswami (Vrundavan), Lutharaji (Vishva Hindu Parishad), and Mahant Naga Baba Shyam Giriji participated in the agitation.

Thousands of Hindu activists and saints marching towards the Supreme Court

On this occasion, Mahamantri of United Hindu Front, Shri. Jaybhagawan Goel(National Head, Rashtravadi Shiv Sena) and Vice-President Mahant Shri Jayaram Bharati said, ‘Balkrushnan is Christian. He has purposefully made a comment on Radha-Krushna. He should immediately retract. Similarly, the Court should apologise to 100 Crores of Hindus in the Nation. If the Supreme Court does not apologise by showing due respect to the demand made by Saints within 3 months, lakhs of Hindus would surround (Gherao) the Supreme Court by uniting under the leadership of Saints.
