Maharashtra Government is murdering democracy as it has failed to provide even drinking water ! – Prabhakar Deshmukh

Mumbai : Shri. Prabhakar Deshmukh of ‘Solapur Jilha Janahit Shetakari Sanghatana’ has staged agitation at Azad Maidan for  his demand of provision of water for Solapur district. It will be 100th day of his agitation on 15th May 2013. The Congress –led ‘Front’ Government has paid no attention to this agitation undertaken for social cause for three months which is generating enraged response from people. On 13th May, Pujya Dr. Charudatta Pingale, the national Guide of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Shri. Shivaji Vatkar, the Mumbai District Coordinator of HJS met Shri. Deshmukh and listened to his anguish. Shri. Deshmukh expressed his anger towards the ‘Front’ Government which is murdering democracy as it has failed to provide even drinking water to the people.

Shri. Deshmukh gave detailed information about his agitation to Pujya Dr. Pingale and said that ‘the Chief Minister has not given me appointment for three months; in between, I had gone to Delhi twice, where I talked to Sharad Pawar and Sushilkumar Shinde; but nobody is paying any heed. (People should show such elected representatives their proper place at the time of elections ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Now, the police and miscreants are trying to crush this agitation. It is only one demand  of getting drinking water. In future, our organisation will join every activity of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in Solapur district. During ‘Kartiki Ekadashi’ celebrations, such indifferent ministers of Congress-led Front Government would not be allowed to enter Pandharpur.’

Pujya Dr. Pingale said, “It is a tragedy that citizens of the State have to agitate for so long and such tragedy cannot be a part of democracy.”
