The police had kept Sreesanth and 2 other players under observation since last week. Spot fixing occurred in a match played between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians teams in Mumbai on 15th May and in an earlier match played between Kings Eleven and Rajasthan Royals in Mohali on 9th May. As per police version the players received Rupees 60 lakhs for each over they bowled. Total amount of 1 Crore and 20 Lakh Rupees exchanged hands in this matter. Players were asked to concede more than 14 runs in these overs, which they did.
