Hindus should offer gratitude at the feet of God for this success !

Kolhapur (Maharashtra) : On the occasion of Buddha-Pournima, a literary meet was organized on 25th May in Kamala College of Tara Rani University. Lectures by office bearers of Maratha Seva Sangh were to be held in this meet. Maratha Seva Sangh is known for its degrading criticism against Hindu Dharma, Saints and great national personalities. Pro-Hindu activists, therefore, submitted a representation to Rajarampuri Police Station demanding cancellation of the above program and warned of staging demonstrations. Police issued a notice to make the organizers understand the issue after which Dr. J. B. Shinde, the Organizer, cancelled the program. (Congratulations to pro-Hindu activists from Kolhapur for fighting successfully in lawful manner for cancellation of program organized by anti-Hindu Dharma organizations ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

1. The meet was to be inaugurated by the secretary of Tara Rani University and Professor Krantikumar Patil under the Chairmanship of Maratha Seva Sangh’s President Purushottam Khedekar.

2. Enlightening programs in the meet : Lecture were to be held on various subjects viz. on ‘Problems faced in production and propagation’ by Purushottam Khedekar; on ‘Distortion of Maratha history’ by Shrimant Kokate, work related to spreading mission of Maratha Seva Sangh by Gangadhar Banbare and on ‘Search for distressed Tukaram’ by Dr. J. B. Shinde.

3. On getting information about the program, Shri. Dilip Bhivate, regional Vice President of ‘Hindu Ekata Andolan’; Shri. Sambhaji Salunkhe, the District President of Bajarang Dal, Shri. Raju Yadav, Shiv Sena’s Karveer Taluka Chief and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s activists, Shri. Madhukar Nazare, Shivanand Swami, Babasaheb Bhopale, Sudhakar Sutar along with other pro-Hindu activists met Assistant Police Inspector (API) Shri. S. C. Panchal of Rajarampuri Police Station on 24th May and submitted the representation to him.

4. Shri. Madhukar Nazare said, “Even earlier, Sambhaji Brigade and Maratha Seva Sangh had organized programs in which Hindu Dharma and Brahmins were criticized in a very derogatory manner. Both the organizations have decided to distort true history related to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. These organizations are targeting Brahmin community and creating rift amongst people.”

5. Shri. Sambhaji Salunkhe said, “Programs held by Maratha Seva Sangh create communal disharmony. Despite giving number of representations, no action has yet been taken against office bearers of these organizations. Police take prompt action against pro-Hindu leaders and activists after occurrence of untoward incident but why are they not taking action against people spitting venom against Hindu Dharma ?”

5. API Panchal said, “The stance taken by pro-Hindu activists is right. The Principal of Kamala College will be given all information and efforts will be made to prevent any kind of criticism against Hindu Dharma.”

6. A board was displayed at the venue of the meet on 25th May that the program was being cancelled due to some unavoidable circumstances.
