Will the intellectuals realize at least now, the importance of Holy Scriptures of Hindus ?

Kolhapur : ‘Shiva-linga’ and opening of a temple was found during excavation of ‘Shahu Talao’ (referred as ‘Audumbar teertha’) in ‘Atigre’ village (taluka Hatkanangale). Its reference is found in the book titled ‘Karaveer Mahatmya’. It is felt by archeologists that the said temple is of ‘Sheshanarayana’ built in 13th century. The lake spreading over 65 acres of area has dried; therefore, work of cleaning and removing deposits is going on for about a month. First, some part of temple was found; when it was completely cleared and opened, it was found that there was a ‘kunda (water pool)’. In further excavation, ‘Shiva-linga’ and door of temple has been unearthed. In 1883, Paramhans Shri. Brahmananda, a disciple of Sri Akkalkot Swami visited Karaveer. He has mentioned about lakes viz. Atigre, Talasande, Bahireshwar and Kurdu in his writings; out of which temples in other 3 lakes are still open; now the fourth temple has also been opened.
