Dr. Subramanian Swamy

“What the world wants is character. The world is in need of those whose life is one burning love—selfless. That love will make every word tell like a thunderbolt. Aware, awake, great souls! The world is burning in misery. Can you sleep?” Swami Vivekananda

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation and Sanatana Dharma Foundation organized Dr. Subramanian Swamy’s lecture to a packed audience at DFW Hindu Temple Auditorium on June 16, 2013. Sri Gopal Ponangi served as Master of ceremony for the event. The program started with an invocation by Sri Krishna Murty and welcome by Sri Khemchand Nangrani. Sri Hari Ramsubbu spoke about the activities of Sanatana Dharma Foundation, Vidya Daanam and upcoming Hindu Unity Day. Sri Prakasarao Velagapudi spoke about the birth of Global Hindu Heritage Foundation and various activities conducted over the years. Sri Sashi Kejriwal gave a very powerful speech introducing Dr. Subramanian Swamy to the audience.

Dr. Swamy narrated about his entry into politics, his relationship with Morarji Desai, his role as a Law Minister during NDA government and his view about the Congress government with regard to the Hindu Temples and Hinduism. He methodically spoke about the difference between Hindu Temple, Mosque and a Church. A Hindu Temple is build according to the Shastras and the Deities are installed through a process called Pranaprathista. Once it is a Temple, it is always a temple. Even if it is removed from the place, it can be built at the place since Pranaprathista was done for the Murthies in that place. In comparison, Mosques and Churches are nor religious centers.

While speaking about the controversy of Ayodhya Babri Masjid, there is no reason why Government cannot issue the order to build Lord Rama Temple. A Mosque is not a religious place. It is only a facilitator to conduct namaj. Muslims can do it anywhere since it has no religious significance. They can even do it in the plane. Further more, Saudi Arabia is demolishing many mosques to broaden their roads because according to them the mosques are not religious places. He feels that it is high time Lord Rama Temple build in Ayodhya since there is amble archeological evidence to prove the existence of Rama Temple before Babri Masjid was built. In fact, he argued that Shia sect of Muslims do not have any trouble in building Rama Temple. Only Sunnis are the ones opposing.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Swamy said that the elections will be conducted next year and NDA has very good chance to come to power. He feels the NDA will concentrate on working toward the elimination of rampant corruption, emphasize the need for good governance as exemplified in Gujarat and highlight the need for Hindutva ideology. He feels that nation is in danger because of neglect of the wishes of Hindus.

In recognizing nearly five decades of patriotic service to Bharath, GHHF and SDF have honored him with a title.  The plaque reads as follows :
