Denigration of Shri Krishna by The Telegraph

Appeal to devout Hindus

The Telegraph published an article titled ‘Demolition Dad’ regarding the rift between L K Advani and Narendra Modi. In the image given above, Advani’s face has been morphed on that of Shri Krishna, and Modi’s face morphed on that of Arjuna. The picture insults Bhagwan Shri Krishna as a politician like L K Advani is depicted as a fleeing Shri Krishna which is in bad taste. The picture is extremely blasphemous. In the caption, “Lal Krishna jumps from the rath”, there is a pun on the Holy name of the Shri Krishna, which is even more disgusting ! The name of Krishna liberates souls in this Kaliyuga. Would The Telegraph have dared to use the picture of Prophet Muhammad or Jesus Christ in a similar derogatory manner ?

The picture is also an insult to Srimad Bhagavad Gita, as the charioteer (Parthasarthi) form of the Shri Krishna has been insulted in this picture. Shri Krishna is a revered deity of billions of Hindus and others worldwide and such denigration of His has hurt the religious sentiments of Shri Krishna devotees.

Now we appeal to all devout Hindus and devotees of Shri Krishna to protest lawfully against The Telegraph daily to compel them to withdraw and remove this picture immediately. Further they should also render an unconditional apology to Hindus and Shri Krishna devotees for hurting their religious sentiments. We also appeal Hindus and Krishna devotees to boycott this daily completely until they withdraw the image and apologise for the denigration.
