Bangalore : Attempts are being made to take over Sri Prasanna Veer Anjaneya Swamy Temple Devsthan located in Mahalakshmi layout area. In 1973, few local residents sculpted idol of Anjaneya in a big rock and built the Devsthan. Today, this Devsthan has become one of the main Devsthans in Bangalore . The number of devotees coming for ‘darshan’ is increasing day by day. Some people who could not digest the growth of this temple, joined politicians and took over the temple bringing it under the control of Government from April 2012. An official was also appointed by the Government. The Committee of Sri Prasanna Veeranjneya Swami Devsthan filed a petition in High Court against this process. The High Court has cancelled the order of the Government for taking over this Devsthan, giving opinion that it was a wrong action. Advocate N. Ravindranath Kamat is pleading for Devsthan; but once again, attempts are on to take over this temple.
