Vehicle transporting beef in illegal manner was caught by ‘Gou-premis’ !
Dicholi (Goa) : Gou-premis caught a tempo (Regd. No. – GA- 06-K-1607) coming from Belgaum with fake papers as it was carrying beef in illegal manner. The vehicle was caught at 3.00 a.m. at Sakhali on 30th June. Police confiscated about 1 ton of beef and arrested driver Imam Mulla and conductor Riyaz Bepari.
Shri. Amrut Singh, animal-friend from ‘Animal Rescue Squad’, Shri. Kamalakant Tari, Goa in-charge of Kisan Panchayat and activists of ‘Bharat Swabhiman’ were present on the occasion. These activists were keeping a watch from 2.45 a.m. on 29th June and the vehicle was stopped on 30th June at 3.15 a.m. at Sakhali. On 30th June at 3.15 a.m., these activists stopped the vehicle and handed it over to police.
