Hindu organisations to commence agitation against Islamic encroachment on Vishalgad

Sangli: Recently a meeting of devout Hindus was held in the Government Guest House to discuss, the ‘Union of devout Hindu organisations’ and ‘Islamic encroachment on Vishalgarh’. Mr Nitin Shinde, a former BJP leader and member of the Fort Vigilance Committee presided over the meeting. In the meeting, the unanimous decision was taken by Hindu organisations to commence agitation against Islamic encroachment on Vishalgarh.

Satara district level president of Hindu Ekata Andolan and BJP’s Maharashtra Secretary Mr Vikram Pavaskar said, “Currently the month being Shravan, devout Hindu Shiva-devotees from Districts Sangli, Satara and Kolhapur should gather on the last Monday in the Mahadev temple on Vishalgarh for offering puja. Our fight against encroachments will commence on that day.” Mr Nitin Shinde said, “As we stopped the glorification of the tombs of Afzalkhan and Sayyad Banda at the base of Pratapgarh, in the same way, we have to stop the glorification of Malik Rehan’s tomb here on Vishagarh.

BJP leaders Mr Shrikant Shinde, Mr Avinash Mohite, Mr Omkar Shukla, Mr Vijay Kadne of BJP Sanskrutik Aghadi, along with Mr Prasad Risavde, Mr Nitin Kale, Mr Ram Kale, Mr Gajanan More of Shivsena, office bearers and workers of BJP, Shivsena, Shri Shivapratishthan Yuva Hindustan, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh were present in the meeting.
