Nationwide protest held by Hindu Organizations about issue of Uttarakhand Hindus.
Jantar Mantar (New Delhi) : Uttarakhand government is responsible for disaster of Uttarakhand. The state and central Governments are showing step-motherly treatment towards the affected areas. When faced with a great calamity of the kind recently seen in Uttarakhand, our Prime Minister has proposed to restrict Hindu pilgrimages. This gross negligence towards Hindus was strongly condemned by Hindu Organizations at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi today.

Activists of prominent Hindu organisations like Akhil Bharatiy Hindu Mahasabha, Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti participated in this protest. They demanded that the Hindus displaced due to the disaster should be rehabilitated without further delay. Also to compensate for the loss of their livelihood, the government should make arrangement to provide them with jobs. The protestors also demanded that the government act immediately to restore and repair the Kedarnath temple, which is a important site of pilgrimage for Hindus.

Promptly rehabilitate flood-stricken Hindus from Uttarakhand and stop screening of Hindi film ‘Bhag Milkha Bhag’ which has a controversial song were two demands for which HJS staged demonstrations on 7th July near Sri Hanuman Temple, close to Kadamb Bus-stand at Panaji. About 115 devout Hindus, including Shri. Ramesh Naik, chief of Shiv Sena for Goa, Dr. Manoj Solanki, the Goa State coordinator of HJS; besides members of Hindu Mahasabha, Divya Jagruti Pratishthan, Srikrushna Sudarshan Gou-shala, Ponda, Animal Rescue Squad, Sanatan Sanstha, HJS-Ranaragini Division and members of ‘Mahila Swayam-sahayya Group’ participated in the demonstrations.

HJS condemns bomb blasts in Mahabodhi Temple, at Bodhgaya, Bihar
Dr. Manoj Solanki, the State- coordinator of HJS for Goa, strongly condemned the bomb blasts occurring at Sri Mahabodhi Temple at Bodh-Gaya, Bihar. Dr. Solanki said that Buddhists should join Hindus in fighting against jihadi terrorism.
Demonstrations at 8 districts in Karnataka, 450 devout Hindus participate
Bangalore (Karnataka) : Congress Government from Uttarakhand shifted Dhari Devi idol leading to deluge. Uttarakhand, the land of Deities, has become a place of tourism. Such anti-Hindu acts of Congress were opposed by pro-Hindu activists under the leadership of HJS in 8 districts viz. Bengaluru, Udupi, Shivmogga, North Canara, Mangaluru, Dharwad, Bagalkot and Hassan. About 450 devout Hindus took part in these demonstrations.

Enraged Hindus stage demonstrations despite rains at Mumbai and Pune

Mumbai : Demonstrations were held near Dadar (East) railway station on 7th July against the Congress Government of Uttarakhand and Central Government, responsible for the misery of flood-stricken citizens. Hundreds of members of Hindu-rashtra Sena, Rashtreeya Ekatmata Abhiyan, ISKON, Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti participated in the demonstrations.

Chinchwad (Pune, Maharashtra) : At Mahavir Chowk near railway station, strong demonstrations were held, despite heavy rains, against Uttarakhand Government. More than 150 devout Hindus including members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Hindu Swabhiman Pratishthan, BJP, Bharat Swabhiman, VHP, Sri Shiva-pratishthan took part in the demonstrations. Chanting of Sri Gurudeva Datta was done for two minutes to pay homage to the people who died in deluge in Uttarakhand. Incidents of bomb blasts at Bodh-Gaya were also strongly condemned.
