Kolhapur : Polluted water from many sugar factories is let into the Panchaganga River; but the Pollution Control Board does not act on this. The Board maintains silence during festivals of other religions. Mr Raju Yadav, Karveer Talukapramukh, Shivsena alleged that this is sheer religious bias of the pollution Board. He was addressing the Hindus protesting in the Hindu Rashtra Jagruti Andolan organised by Hindu organisations at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk on 22nd August, 2022.

Devout Hindus Mr Rambhau Methe, Mr Sharad Mali, Mrs Preeti Pawar of Sanatan Sanstha also addressed the gathering. District President of Kamgar Sena, Shivsena Mr Raju Sangaokar, BJP Yuva Morcha’s Secretary from Pethvadgao Mr Rajendra Burud, activists of Bhagva Rakshak organization from Nagadevwadi, devout Hindus Mr Santosh Chowgule, Mr Pavan Kavathe, Mr Mahesh Patil, Mr Ravindra Khochikar, Mr Prakash Chowgule from Bhuyewadi, Mr Shivanand Swami, Mr Santosh Sanagar, Mr Pritam Pawar, Mr. Shashank Sonavne, Mr Madhukar Nazare of HJS and other devout Hindus were present there.

Highlights

1. Despite rain during the Andolan, the Hindu protestors did stayed for the entire duration of the protest

2. Hindu youth in the vicinity were listening to the speeches intently
