Prevent Cow Slaughter

Prevent Cow Slaughter
  • Will powerful pro-Hindu organizations learn something from Warakaris (Vitthal Devotees) trying with perseverance for ban on cow-slaughter ?
  • Warakaris should prevent CM and ministers from performing ‘puja’ of Sri Vitthal at Pandharpur on the occasions of Ashadhi and Kartiki Ekadashi !

Mumbai – Despite making demands repeatedly for ban on cow-slaughter, the State Government has not taken any steps to fulfill the demand; moreover, the Chief Minister (CM) had stated during his Pune visit, that the Government was not thinking about imposing ban on cow-slaughter. (Everyone knows who are involved in slaughtering cows. For appeasement of fanatic Muslims, Congress has kept the Act on cow-slaughter pending right from the regime of Indira Gandhi. It once again shows that the Government is anti-Hindus. Congress has been deceiving Warakaris time and again by giving false promises and has no right to be in power ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Warakari organizations and ‘keertankar’s have, therefore, planned to ‘gherao’ the CM after ‘puja’ of Sri Vitthal on Friday, 19th July, the day of Ashadhi Ekadashi.

H.B.P. Rameshwar Maharaj Shastri, the President of Warakari Prbodhan Samiti said that 25,000 Warakaris had taken out march on 19th December 2012 to Assembly House in Nagpur demanding to pass the Act banning cow-slaughter. That time, Madhukar Chavan, the Minister for Animal Husbandry had accepted representation promising Warakaris to take care of the problem; but now monsoon session has started but he has not kept his promise. The enraged Warakaris will, therefore, ‘gherao’ the CM and take him to task after ‘puja’ on Ashadhi Ekadashi on this issue as it concerns welfare of the country.

Democratic rule, keeping decision pending for 18 years, is of no use !

In the year 1995, ban on cow-slaughter Act was approved in both the Houses of State Legislative Assembly and it was sent to the President for his signature; but President’s signature is still awaited. Congress Govt. didn't reply to shortcomings on Anti-Cow-slaughter Bill for past ten years

July 17, 2013

  • Government avoids taking action as pro-Hindu organizations are following up the matter ! – Subhash Desai
  • Govt. has no time for the last ten years to give reply to the shortcomings on Bill imposing ban on cow-slaughter !

Mumbai : In 1995, the Animal Protection Act was approved by the cabinet of Ministers and was sent to the President for his approval. It has a long history. No action has been taken by the State Government on the shortcomings pointed out by the President’s Office. The opposition parties have sent reminder letters for 24 times seeking clarification on status of this Bill; but the State Government has not replied to the same. (It clearly shows that the Government does not want to pass the Bill considering Muslim votes ! Hindus should note that huge quantity of beef is exported from our country. The Government is not only indifferent to the issue of protection of cows; but when pro-Hindu activists go to rescue cows, cases are filed against Hindus. For this, even Hindu leaders are killed. Hindu Rashtra is, therefore, necessary for protection of Hindus and cows and cattle ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

The above Bill is important even from the viewpoint of agriculture and ecology; but just because pro-Hindu organizations are following up the matter, the Government is dilly-dallying the issue. The above contention was made by Shri. Subhash Desai, the group leader of Shiv Sena in Legislative Assembly on Monday. Shri. Sudhir Mungantiwar, BJP- MLA had raised a point on which Shri. Desai was speaking. Opposition leader, Shri. Eknath Khadase said on the occasion that the Government was deliberately not removing the shortcomings and it was not now interested in passing this Act. MLAs of Shiv Sena, BJP, MNS and PWP made a demand that the Government should give explanation on delay in passing of all pending Bills.

CM should once declare that Gandhi’s advice of non-violence is not followed by Congress ! – Sudhir Mungantiwar

83 bills are pending with the President’s office from all over the country and 27 Bills are pending from Maharashtra; out of which Animal Protection (ban on cow/ cattle slaughter) was passed and sent by the State cabinet of Ministers in 1995; but in 2003, the State Government received letter about shortcomings in the Bill. In the past ten years, however, no clarification has been sent by the Government on the shortcomings pointed out by the President’s office. The State Government is taking no action even after follow up was done 24 times. Gandhi taught non-violence; we rule this country taking his name; but he is not considered as our ideal and it should be once for all declared by the Chief Minister, taunted BJP MLA, Shri. Sudhir Mungantiwar. The Bill is not seriously considered by the State Government for passing; therefore, the Government should finally declare whether it was interested in passing this Bill or not. On this, President Dilip Valse-Patil said that the matter of pending Bills is serious and the Government should once clarify its stance, problems faced by it and shortcomings etc. The Chief Minister Pruthviraj Chavan said that the Bills were related to different departments as such it was not possible to give information immediately; but the matter will be discussed with group leaders in meetings. (CM is saving face by saying that issues would be discussed in meetings of group leaders; how can such CM give people transparent governance? In fact, the CM should explain his standpoint in the House in front of all MLAs ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
