Discourse by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti on the occasion of Ganeshotsav in Chikhali (Buldhana)

Chikhali (Buldhana) : A discourse was organised in the Vitthal-Rukmini and Adishakti Muktabai temples here on the occasion of Shri Ganesh Chaturthi and Ganeshotsav. Mr Prasad Yevle of HJS spoke about the science underlying the Shri Ganapati’s idol, reasons for offering red flowers and durva to Shri Ganesh, why immersion of Shri Ganesh idols should be in naturally flowing water. He also spoke about how Shri Ganesh idol is denigrated, and how harm is caused to Dharma. Collective chanting of Shri Ganesh’s chant was done and prayer also was offered to the Deity. Many attended this programme and benefited from it. Dharmapremi Mr Sujit Kore and Mr Vishal Dhare assisted in arranging this programme.
