Initially, a delegation of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti met Rahul Kambli, the manager of ‘Ather’ showroom in Beti, Vere, on August 25 and requested him to remove the picture of Shri Ganesh. The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti had said that Shri Ganesh has been humanized and insulted through the picture for their commercial gain and this has hurt the religious sentiments of Ganesh-devotees. Showroom manager Rahul Kambli said, “Although we did not intend to hurt anyone’s religious sentiments, we will talk to the concerned owner about taking down the picture”. The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti delegation included Mr Mahesh Prabhu, Mr Sushant Dalvi and Mrs. Sushma Hede. Later in the evening, the showroom management removed the offending picture.
