Protest : New advt of ‘Cadbury Perk’ mocks holy Hindu ritual of Marriage

Shravan Shuklapaksha 5/6, Kaliyug Varsha 5115

Appeal to devout Hindus

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti have received lot of complaints about derogatory advertisement of Cadbury Perk. In this advertisement a Groom and Bride are getting married while running and also the Brahmin who plays a vital role in marriage is doing rituals by sitting on a Vehicle. Thus 'Cadbury Ltd.' has purposely denigrated Hindu Marriage ritual with malafide intention.

Marriage ritual is very sentimental and a holy ritual of Hindu Culture. The Shlokas and Mantras recited during Marriage has a very respectable and sacred meaning. Blessings are showered on groom and bride through Shlokas, Mantras and Havan made during the Marriage. However 'Cadbury Ltd.' is showing this event as a fun thereby hurting religious sentiments of crores of Hindus. We are sure that they will not dare to make such fun of Muslim's nikah or Christian wedding.

We request all devout Hindus from all over the world to protest lawfully against Cadbury India Ltd., so that they should withdraw the defamatory advt from all sources and they should also apologise for hurting religious sentiments of Hindus.

Devout Hindus can also send their lawful protests to concerned authorities through Comments Section.

We would like to remind you that in December 2010 M/s Cadbury had made similar denigrating advertisement. We had Protested and stopped the advertisement of 'Cadbury Glucose Perk' which was defaming Hindu EpicMahabharata depicting the ‘Vastraharan’.On 3rd January2011 Shri. R. D’Souza Corporate Affairs Cadbury India had given letter to that effect. Thedetails can be viewed on our website https://www.hindujagruti.org/news/10920.html. However we fail to understand why MNC like M/s Cadbury India is again and again making assault on Hindu culture and Dharma through advertisement.

Please note that M/s Cadbury has insulted and hurt the feelings of crores of Hindus who will boycott your products resulting loss and defamation to your organisation. Hence it would be appropriate on your part to stop the advertisement immediately and to render written apology.

Please acknowledge this protest letter and inform us in writing about action taken by you, failing which we will have to start protest campaign against you.

Awaiting for your positive reply,

Sub : Grievance against the PERK advertisement

Dear Sirs,

This is to bring to your notice that the advertisement that is being aired for PERK is highly offending Hindus of the country.

In the advertisement marriage ceremony of Hindu boy and girl has been presented in bad light and degrading the age old vedic ritual of Marriage.

You have shamefully depicted Yagna kunda (Fire Kund) being mounted on a vehicle.

This type of advertisement is highly hurting our religious feelings. I request you to immediately remove this from all the means of advertisements that you are employing.

If the corrective action regarding same is not taken at earliest we will be forced to take this issue on streets, We will be forced to launch all India protests to stop purchasing all other products of Cadbury as well.

Your Timely action will avoid lodging of a Legal complaint against your company for hurting religious feelings of Hindus and presenting Hindu customs in most disrespectful manner.

looking forward to action at earliest.

Best Regards

RAKESH GURKHA
